The kit is very simple to put up. 90% of the time it was just myself putting it up and then had 2 people help put the trusses up and the building process was extremely fast. I can’t say enough about the product. I love and was very surprised by the fact that it was easy to put up and strong at the same time, just as it was advertised. SIP’s are much better then conventional stick-framed homes in every way and the quality of the product is wonderful. Everyone was very helpful; every question was answered from the start of the order with a CSR all the way through the building process. On a scale from 1-10, I rate Ameripanel at 11!

Compared to conventional stick-framed homes, this product is definitely much faster, stronger and straighter. With only a very small workforce, consisting of a few family members, we put up the walls in a few days and the trusses and sheathing a few days after that. For not being a builder, it was very easy to build and work with. We are very happy with the product and the excellent insulation. Everything is self explanatory and I’m very pleased and satisfied with the company, they always took care of me when I needed something. I give Ameripanel an A+ and would definitely recommend others to buy from them.

The home’s insulation factor is really good, the home is extremely quite and there are no wind drafts. It’s a marvel! Just me building, took 2 days to lay the floor, 3 days to put up the walls, 3 days to lift the trusses and sheath the roof with no problems. The literature was clear and the directions were straight forward and easy to use. I found it much faster to put up and much less headache to do the plumbing. I was skeptical but the structure is rock solid, and over the past year I have not heard it settle at all. All the departments were very helpful, especially the drafting department.

On a scale from 1-10, I rate Ameripanel at a 12! Everyone in the company was great and the home was very easy to put up. Floor and walls installed in 2 days just by myself with my 61 year old father and his friend. The info provided by Ameripanel was excellent and user friendly, and so is the product. The quality is wonderful and much faster to construct and versatile then conventional stick-framed homes and the results from the insulated walls are great along with much lower utility bills. So easy a novice and two 61 year old gentlemen could do it.

We were very pleased with the product and the ease in construction. We have built with both methods of construction and think that SIP’s are much easier to build compared to stick building. We were about 3 people and it took us 5 days to put up the walls and floor, 1 day to put up trusses and 1 day to sheath. We think that anyone that is interested in a well built home would be well to check this out. We really like it. It was really easy to build this home and the walls are quite strong. It wouldn’t take more than a week and a half to put up a 36x56 home. Setting the trusses took only a little more than half a day. We haven't had any heat turned on; it was 75 when we went to bed last night, 72 when we got up this morning and it was 32 outside. We are well pleased with it and we rate Ameripanel at least a 9.

building inspector was very impressed. Our Heating bill was
lower than my neighbors' bill even without insulation installed

SIP's is the best way to build your own home! They are much better and stronger than stick framing and you can use it in any way that you want, from an addition to a complete home. The Ameripanel home kit was easy to put up. My wife and I put up the walls in a few days and I hired a crew of 3-4 guys to help me with the trusses which took 4 hours. It’s staying around 80 degrees with no AC; it’s very sufficient and strong enough that it sustained Hurricane Ivan pretty good. I would recommend it to someone else. I think it's a good investment and a good product.

heater worked for heating the whole house in the winter when
they were building it. The homeowners got a $400 rebate from
the electrical company because they were using SIPs. I recommend

There are not many companies or products I would ever think about giving a 10 for the overall experience, but if there is one it would be Ameripanel. The Ameripanel home kit is very easily and efficiently assembled. I work full time so mainly working weekends and spare time it took me and two other people about 2 weeks to get it dried in. It was great! Also, it’s so much stronger then stick-built homes. The boom operator at one point bounced the load off the side of the home, and said he does it all the time with stick framed homes and the structure always reacts, with the SIP home it was completely solid and he was very impressed. The drafting department got everything done quickly and correctly; they were very helpful. The ordering department was also helpful in finding someone close by regarding transportation of the home so everything was brought to the site without a problem. Ameripanel customer service was great and everyone was very nice. I would not only recommend others to build with Ameripanel, but I plan to build another home with them in the near future.
